Pixo is hiring an Engineering Manager to join our incredibly talented and highly motivated team! As Engineering Team manager, you will lead our 8-person team of software engineers and web developers by monitoring projects, coordinating with other departments, and mentoring individual team members.

What will you do most days?

  • Hold coaching sessions with staff to build relationships and support professional growth
  • Remove roadblocks and impediments for ENG team members
  • Coordinate with Project Management and UX Department managers to ensure projects are on schedule and achieving their defined goals
  • Work with the Director of Consulting Operations to ensure staff are meeting target capacities
  • Lead engineering team functional meetings and facilitate team bonding activities
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal processes to better serve the team and our clients
  • Recruit new team members and freelance contractors
  • Actively participate in projects by paring on code, performing QA, or serving as a Product Manager

What skills are a must?

  • 3+ years of experience managing staff in developing software
  • Experience working with software engineers and web developers on a project level
  • A proven understanding of software application development tasks and processes
  • Strong communication skills to relay plans and create action
  • Ability to identify and communicate critical information
  • A desire to build and support your team

What skills are encouraged?

  • 5+ years of experience working as a software engineer, web developer, QA analyst, or similar role
  • Comfortable pairing with other engineers

The salary range is $108,000 - $112,000.
